The intelligent Technology and Robotics research center (iTR)，which aim to serve the society, create value, and to support discipline. iTR choose to meet the urgent requirement of national low-carbon economical development, aerospace globalization,infrastructure urbanization and service of aging society, etc., and focuses on the investigation of robotic technology and aviation machine manufacturing, anti-terrorism and anti-riot, telemedicine, service for the aged and disabled, and other related fields. iTR consists of three characteristic sub-laboratories: the Industrial Robot Laboratory, the Special Robot Laboratory, and the Medical and Service Robot Laboratory.
The research team of iTR, mainly composed of three professors, six associate professors, three assistant professors, three post-doctors, three full-time engineers, twenty-one PhD candidates, and sixty master students. iTR are full of sense of historical mission, sense of social responsibility, and enterprising spirit. Under the leadership of “Cheung Kong Scholar”, National Outstanding Youth Fund award receiver, Professor Wang Tian-miao, iTR has become one of the significant bases for subject construction, scientific research and students training.
